Agency awards in January got the year off to a lackluster start with a value of $19,825,104 compared to last year’s stimulus-driven total of $92,877,732. That’s a big drop by anyone’s calculations but you can’t blame D.A.G.S., which more than doubled its awards to $9.7 million from $4.4 million last January. The Big Island also pumped in additional funds totaling $4.36 million com- pared to $1.88 million a year ago.

Biggest award went to Abhe & Svoboda. The $9.66 million for Aloha Stadium roof decking may not guarantee a win over Southern California come September but will ensure that the fans in Sections L to Q stay dry if it rains.
