Lt. Gov. Duke Aiona (center) presents a Hawaii Green Business Award to Laura Ayers and Stacey Levine of Philip
K. White & Associates. Philip K. White & Associates
Philip K. White & Associates was one of seven businesses to earn a Hawaii Green Business Award from the state. On April 19, Lt. Gov. James R. “Duke” Aiona, Jr. and officials of the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT) recognized seven businesses and two government agencies for improving their business practices to conserve resources and protect the health of Hawaii’s people and environment.
Even before green building became a national trend, the locally based architectural firm has been designing homes and office buildings that work in harmony with, not against, nature. The company’s 40 S. School St. offices are LEED-silver certified and were designed as a “living laboratory” for clients and potential clients to experience green building technologies and features firsthand.
