NEW PRODUCTS

Energy Smart

picThe SimpleComfort® SE5000 series, manufactured by ICM Controls, allows users to monitor key energy data while reducing environmental impact. This new product features an in-home display and residential thermostat. President Ron Kadah of ICM Control Corporation says that it “generates greater efficiencies by bringing real-time visibility into the home, thereby empowering the consumers with the knowledge they need to make educated decisions about their power usage.” For more information, visit www.icmcontrols.com or call 800-365-5525.

Keeping The Heat Alive

picVisionary Industrial Insulation of Kapolei announced that its new insulation product HITLIN (High Temperature Layered Insulation) has passed initial safety analysis to be tested at Hawaiian Electric Company facilities across Hawaii. HITLIN is ideal for power and petrochemical plants, geothermal units and other industrial clients. “With today’s energy prices, using the wrong insulation can result in extremely expensive heat loss,” says Visionary Industrial Insulation Vice-President and COO Ross Rolirad. The company’s web site claims that HITLIN can dramatically reduce heat loss (with 49 percent less heat loss than Calcium Silicate). It is made without chemical binders and can be removed, reinstalled and reused. For more information visit www.hitlinusa.com or call 888-984-7776.

Flush For Energy

picZurn Engineered Water Solutions introduces HydroVantage™ sustainable hydro generator flush valve. This new product comes equipped with a hydro generator, which creates energy when the water passes through the valve, as well as a back up battery. Stored energy powers subsequent flushes, so that you don’t need external electriv power or battery replacement for 10 years. Moreover, the self-generating HydroVanage flush valve offers low life cycle costs. It uses Environmental Trending™ and 4.0 Sensor Technology™ to minimize false flushing. Other features were designed to prevent flooding and indicate malfunctions. It is designed for retrofit, new construction and LEED applications. Visit hydrovantage.zurn.com to learn more.

Fantastic Finish

picParex USA, Inc. recently announced the launch of the new and improved Allegro II, its flat, non-gloss finish. With the use of an advanced polymer, the new formula has been changed to an improved richer product. The Allegro II advancements provide superior coverage, scrub resistance, hiding power and color fastness. “Allegro II is best used to change and refresh color on new and existing surfaces without affecting the existing surface texture,” says Parex USA. “Because Allegro II is a powder material, only water and the liquid tint color needs to be added to achieve the desired color. Allegro II fuses with the cement instead of simply adhering to the stucco surface like paint.” Order this product from Parex USA. Visit www.parexusa.com.
