Jason Sullivan has been appointed weekend supervisor at Hoala Landscape and Maintenance, a full-service grounds and building maintenance firm. He maintains and manages common areas and lagoons during peak traffic times at the Ko Olina Resort & Marina. Sullivan has work experience in many fields, including supervisor for water quality and control at Wet’n’Wild Hawaii and machine operator/manager at Rad Motor Sports. He has completed two certified pool/spa operators classes, sponsored by the National Pool Foundation, both times ranking at the top of the class.
Nestor D. Lomboy, Sr. was promoted from landscape manager to grounds maintenance manager of Hoala Landscape and Maintenance. Lomboy has more than 20 years of experience in landscaping, irrigation and maintenance. He worked with Westside Maintenance and remained on staff when the company was purchased by Jacobsen Labor Services, Inc., the parent company of Hoala Landscape. Lomboy was named employee of the year while working as irrigation specialist and field supervisor for the Ko Olina Community Association.
Shane Nesbitt was hired recently as a project developer for Distributed Energy Partners, a locally based solar integrator. At Distributed Energy Partners, Nesbitt will educate prospective commercial clients about solar energy options, new state legislation encouraging solar energy in Hawaii, and help them obtain a customized system to meet their business’ electricity needs. He also will work with clients to help them determine the best financing options to obtain a renewable energy system
Charles Wang also has been hired as a project developer for Distributed Energy Partners. He will work with prospective commercial clients to help determine the best renewable energy systems and financing available to meet their needs.
Hubert Chang recently joined the Energy Industries Corp. as president and chief executive officer. Chang, a veteran investment banker specializing in clean energy, has been tapped to lead the company as it continues its national growth and expansion. Chang’s career spans over 16 years in finance, having served as a director of clean energy and semiconductor investment banking practice at Merrill Lynch & Co. and most recently as managing director of clean energy investment banking at America’s Growth Capital. Chang has assumed the responsibilities previously held by Darren T. Kimura, who served as the company’s chief executive officer since founding the company in 1994, and by Miles Kubo, who served as its president since 2006. Kimura will continue as chairman of the board of directors, and Kubo will continue as chief operating officer and become executive vice president of the company’s newly established energy finance division.
Raji Gaskin has been appointed general manager of Commercial Roofing & Waterproofing (CRW). Born and raised on Maui, Gaskin will be responsible for management of CRW’s Maui division, including sales and marketing, project estimating, project management, and supervision of all office and field workers. Prior to joining CRW, Gaskin headed his own private roofing company.
L. Dennis Condon has been hired as senior project manager at Heide & Cook, Ltd., one of Hawaii’s largest full-service mechanical contractor and air-conditioning service companies. His responsibilities include developing project schedules and budgets, coordinating and reviewing drawings and training new employees. Prior to joining Heide & Cook, Condon served as project manager at Dorvin D. Leis Co., Inc., a mechanical contractor in Kahului, Maui. Previous positions include operations, project management, and engineering at air-conditioning and mechanical engineering firms in California. Condon headed Merit Plumbing, Inc., which he founded in Escondido, Calif. and was vice president and general manager of Leaverton-San Diego, Inc. He also served as a communications specialist for the U.S. Navy in Yokosuka, Japan.
