Your Tax Dollars at Work
What the taxpayers give – the construction industry is happy to receive. That’s certainly true for September as the federal agencies pumped $102.4 million of those tax dollars right back into Hawaii construction projects.
Nearly 80 percent of all contracts awarded in the state were generated by the feds, which helped boost the YTD total to $604,877,257.
The month’s total value of $128.5 million in awards was up 25.3 percent over the same month last year, a surprising and encouraging turnaround.
