Enters Residential Market

American Electric Co. recently diversified its business by establishing a residential services division.
“Given the recent decline in the real estate market, the need to maintain and improve the value of one’s home has never been so essential,” says Tom Vincent, company CEO.
A unique feature of the residential services division is its CurrentSAFE service, which uses thermographic and ultrasonic testing equipment to detect concealed electrical problems. Using CurrentSAFE, electricians can evaluate the state of an entire electrical system within a home.
The company is offering homeowners free visual electrical assessments, which take approximately two hours, to determine
if the residence needs CurrentSAFE preven-
tative service.
American Electric plans to extend its residential service to the neighbor islands in early 2010.
