Who’s Hee?

He’s a professional with over 15 years of sales, marketing and promotions experience with a history of helping his clients to become more successful and profitable. Most recently he worked in sales for the Star-Bulletin/MidWeek and has also helped clients in the printing business with the Valenti Print Group and with Matt Heim at Best Printing (Honblue). He even did an early stint as marketing director for the Blue Tropics Night Club & Bikini’s Bar. A well-rounded resume for sure.

Frank Hee

He is Frank Hee, who joined the B.I. sales team in December with a view of clients as partners in marketing. That fits in just fine with the sales philosophies of his own working partners, Julie Nguyen and Publisher Barry Redmayne. So when Frank calls, give him a chance to show his stuff. Your business deserves it.

Donovan’s the Man

Donovan Brooks, GCA Executive Director James Martinez and Barry Redmayne.

When B.I. Publisher Barry Redmayne visited Guam last month he had a chance to personally welcome Donovan Brooks, our new Pacific Basin correspondent, to the Trade family. Barry was pleased at what he saw and invites you to judge for yourself after reading Donovan’s first story for B.I. that begins on page 62. The story itself is a reinforcement of the linkage that this magazine is dedicated to providing between the construction industries of Hawaii and Guam. This will become even more essential as the increase in Guam’s military construction activity begins to take shape.

Hail the Chief!

Chief Perry

Contractors on Kauai are doing some welcoming of their own this month when the Garden Island’s new chief of police is introduced to the industry. He’s “home grown” Darryl Perry who will be the featured speaker at the CAK general membership meeting on March 11 at the Hanamaulu Café, 6:15 – 8:30 p.m. The event gets off to a tasteful start thanks to Ken Do Construction which is hosting the pupu reception at 5:30.
